Knowing how to make mojitos is a must if you’re planning any summertime parties or cookouts. Made with mint, fresh lime juice, and club soda, crisp and refreshing mojitos are perfect for warm weather activities. This mojito pitcher recipe is just as easy as a single mojito recipe, and you can make the batch as strong or as weak as you like – or leave out the alcohol completely for the mocktail drinkers in your group!

🌱 What Makes This Recipe So Good
- Mojitos are a perfect warm-weather cocktail! They’re crisp, refreshing, and amazingly light. Club soda makes them a little fizzy and cuts the alcohol content a little.
- This easy batch recipe lets you skip the hassle of mixing one drink at a time. Depending on the size of your pitcher and the amount of ice and club soda you use, you can mix up 4-6 mojitos at a time.
- This mojito pitcher recipe is super easy to make non-alcoholic! All you have to do is leave out the rum and use more club soda (or ginger ale, or sparkling water).
- You can mix up this mojito pitcher recipe up to 3 days before your party. Follow the recipe as instructed, but leave the ice and club soda out until you’re ready to serve them. Keep the pitcher in the refrigerator in the meantime.
👩🏼🍳 Chef’s Tips
- Freeze lime wedges in advance, then drop them in the pitcher in place of some of the ice cubes. They’ll keep your mixture cold without watering it down as they melt! You could also do this with frozen strawberries, blueberries, or blackberries.
- Careful not to overmuddle the mint. If you do, you’ll end up with bitter mojitos, which you do not want. Use gentle pressure and quick press-and-twist motions to break up the mint leaves just enough to extract some of the oils.
- If you’d rather, you can run the mint leaves through the food processor instead of muddling them, or chop them roughly with a sharp knife. Again, be careful not to overdo it. You want them just barely chopped so they don’t take on a bitter flavor.
- Want to turn your mojito-on-the-rocks into a frozen drink? You totally can! Add all of the ingredients from this mojito pitcher recipe (except the ice) to a blender and blend until smooth. Once it’s smooth, add the ice and blend again until you’ve gotten the desired slushy consistency.
- If you don’t have or can’t find fresh mint leaves, you can use mint extract, or you can try fresh basil, rosemary, or cilantro. You’ll get a different flavor overall from the different herbs, though.
- If you’re using mint extract, start with just 1/4-1/2 teaspoon and taste, then adjust as needed. Mint extract is much more potent than muddled mint leaves, and too much of that flavor will ruin your pitcher.

What size pitcher was used for this recipe?
I’m so sorry, Sarah, but I’m actually not sure! I’ll see if I can find out for you. In the meantime, you can make this recipe in any size pitcher – you would just adjust the amount of ice and club soda you use to accommodate the size of the pitcher you use!
