How to Throw an Amazing Taylor Swift Super Bowl Party

The big game is right around the corner and we are officially in our Super Bowl era. It’s time to lay the table with the football sh*t; ignore all the dads, Brads, and Chads; and take this as your sign to host an epic Taylor Swift themed Super Bowl party. We’ve put together everything you need to have the best game day, from snack and drink recipes, to decorations, outfits, and even a curated Spotify playlist.

Think back to every great party you’ve been to. House party, frat party, birthday party, wedding reception, bachelorette – what did they all have in common? TUNES!

It would be impossible to throw a great Taylor Swift themed party without music, and for Super Bowl 2025, we’ve curated the ultimate Swiftie playlist. From pregame hype to post-game celebration, it features songs from every Taylor era, with a few thematically-appropriate selections from other artists mixed in.

A few highlights:

The Alchemy – “Cheers chanted, cause they said / There was no chance, tryin’ to be / The greatest in the league / Where’s the trophy? / He just comes running over to me”. Tay hasn’t confirmed it, but The Alchemy gives undeniable “Chiefs winning Super Bowl 2024” vibes. That’s some pretty serious Tayvoodoo, especially if you’re hoping for a 2025 repeat!
Bad Blood (feat. Kendrick Lamar) – Considering Kendrick’s headlining the halftime show this year, Tay’s 1989 collab with him was an easy must-include.
Fight For Your Right – TO PAAAAAAAAAARTAAAAYYYYYY! Trav’s victory cry after the 2024 AFC Championship is conveniently a great party song. Leaving it off the playlist would be a crime!
Mary’s Song x So High School x Everything Has Changed – Closing out our Super Bowl soundtrack is this surprise song mash-up from Eras Tour Amsterdam N3. It’s a little slow, but what a way to celebrate! Real ones know this was show #87 for Taylor and this mash-up was unmistakably all about him. It’s got make-you-melt lines like “I’ll be 87, you’ll be 89” and “In the blink of a crinkling eye, everything has changed.” You know what? Here’s a video of the full performance. It’s definitely worth a watch or 22.

Decorations are possibly the easiest aspect of a Taylor Swift Super Bowl party. There are SO many options available for crafters of all skill levels, and you can go as simple or as over-the-top as you. You don’t need to spend a ton of money or put it a ton of time making things, either!

These are a few of the decorations I used, and the best part? They’re all reusable, and nothing’s so Super-Bowl-specific that I won’t be able to use it for something else!

Me? I know food.

If you ask me, the game-day snack spread is make or break. You can change a playlist. You don’t necessarily need decorations.

But you invite people over to watch the game and you call it a PARTY? You have to have food. Good food. And if that food also happens to be super fun and on-theme? Even better.

wHAT Foods TO SERVE AT A SUPER BOWL PARTY?

A Super Bowl party, at least in my opinion, is not the time for a multi-course seated meal. No, no. This is the time for grazing. For build-your-own. For boards and bars and stations.

Think finger foods. Easy appetizers.
Crockpot dips that can be kept warm for hours.
Things that are easy to grab or load up on a plate.

Frozen foods cooked in the air fryer, slow cooker, or Instant Pot are great options because they cut down on prep and don’t keep you yoked to the oven all day. You can even incorporate the appliance into your snack table.

Maybe not as important as the foods, but still important, are the beverages. These are another opportunity to have a lot of fun and really maximize the theming, but extra great because you don’t have to put in a lot of time or effort with them.

There are a lot of Taylor-themed possibilities for alcohol-based cocktails and for non-alcohol drinks alike, so don’t feel like you have to break out the booze. Just about any cocktail can be made into a mocktail, too!

It’s All Fun and Games ‘Til Somebody Loses Their Mind.

We’re big football fans at my house (no, really! Ask me how my Fantasy Football team, Ball Too Well 10-Minute Version, did this season.). Even then, some of the games can be a little on the slow side, so having another activity for everyone to participate in can help keep the party atmosphere alive and well.

And I don’t mean a simultaneous chess tournament or anything super involved or distracting. No, no. Taylor Bowl is the event-at-hand, and we just want to support that a little.

Bingo is a great play-along game, and you can do so many different versions of it. Swiftie Bowl Bingo, Super Bowl Commercial Bingo, Gameplay Bingo, Commentator Bingo… You could come up with anything, really!

If you’re even remotely familiar with Canva, setting up your own custom bingo cards is super easy, and you can print them out or send digital versions to your friends and play on your phones.

I like to do a little prize for the bingo winner, too, especially with my kids playing along. For Sunday’s Taylor Swift/Super Bowl themed game, I’ve got a little goodie bag with a football-shaped water bottle, heart-shaped glasses, Chiefs friendship bracelets, and a Chiefs-themed Mardi Gras bead necklace (since the game’s in New Orleans this year!).

You can’t NOT dress out for game day, amiright?!

Team colors are a classic, foolproof option for Super Bowl attire. But what if your team isn’t actually in the game? Or, like us, your Super Bowl party is less about the game itself and more about the Queen herself? Well, then you ~~have to be~~ get to be creative!

With this being the Chiefs’ third-consecutive trip to the Super Bowl, there’s no shortage of Chiefs gear you can rock for the big day. Swifties have also been doing their part to support blondies’ boy, putting out some really great Taylor-themed Chiefs tees and accessories. Of course, even pieces that aren’t specifically Taylor or Chiefs themed can be part of your game-day look, too. Here are some of my favorite outfit ideas!

Outfits Inspired by Taylor’s Eras

If you want to get really into the spirit of the event, don’t just settle for a basic red-and-yellow dress code. Instead, go all-in (or all-out!) and embody your favorite Taylor era! You could recreate your favorite music video outfit to a “T”, or you could simply pay homage to an era with an outfit inspired by a specific album or song.

I actually got to attend the Eras Tour in New Orleans in October 2024, and I am, um, a big fan of dressing for a theme. My kids are, too, so we absolutely could NOT resist different Eras-themed outfits for each of us every day we were there.
