What Makes This Recipe So Good

This rich, sweet, and cheesy dip is the ultimate appetizer. Made with soft, buttery Président Brie and sweet, tart cranberry sauce, it’s absolutely delicious for brunch or holidays. Président Brie – Président Brie is soft and creamy, and when baked to melty deliciousness, it tastes absolutely decadent. Brie is a versatile cheese that allows you to enjoy it in various recipes paired with sweet or savory accompaniments, making it a staple at any gathering. Its small round format is just so perfect to create a cheese board or to bake easily!
Cranberry sauce – Sweet and just a little tart, cranberry sauce adds fruity flavor to the brie
Honey – Optional, but we love the fresh sweetness a dash of honey adds to the dip
Rosemary – Rosemary gives a minty, woody taste and scent to your dip

How To Make It

Slice the top part of the rind off of the brie and place the wheel of cheese in a small baking dish. Bake until melty.

Remove the brie from the oven and top with cranberry sauce and honey. Stir everything together and add a sprig of rosemary on top.

Bake until the cheese is bubbly and serve with lots of crusty bread or crackers for dipping.

Chef’s Tips

  • We definitely prefer fresh cranberry sauce instead of the canned type for this recipe. If you’re making your own, try my rosemary cranberry sauce or this version with apples.
  • Making your own crostini for dipping in your cranberry brie dip is surprisingly easy. Just get a baguette or French or Italian loaf of bread and cut it into slices about a quarter of an inch thick. Brush both sides of the slices with olive oil and bake for about 10 minutes at 375º, flipping over halfway through the cook time.

    1. While we didn’t test this specific dip recipe in a Crockpot, we DO have a Crockpot baked brie dip recipe! Find that recipe here: https://40aprons.com/crockpot-baked-brie-dip/

You could definitely replace the jam in that dip with cranberry sauce. Depending on the amount of liquid in your cranberry sauce, you may still want to use the apple juice the recipe calls for. Just adjust the amount as needed based on the consistency!

    1. So sorry, Ginny! I hate that this didn’t turn out for you. We do say to cook it 10 to 15 minutes, after the initial 7, or until it’s melted and bubbly. Cook times vary depending on a number of factors including oven, altitude, baking dish, etc. In your oven, you may have only needed 5 to 10 minutes to make the Brie bubbly, rather than 10 to 15. I hope you’ll try it again!

  1. How far in advance can I make it? I want to take it with me to a party, but it is 20 minutes away. Will the Brie make it that long or should I bake when I get there?5 stars

    1. Hey, Bridget! If you have the option to bake it there, I’d recommend that – it’s so good when it’s fresh! You could try baking it at home first and transporting it in an insulated bag to keep it warm, but it may need to be reheated, so I’d just as soon bake it there.

      Happy Thanksgiving!
