40 Aprons may have started out as a one-woman show, but today I’ve got an amazing team of creative, talented, and brilliant women helping me deliver my recipes to you! Allow me to introduce them.

Meet the 40 Aprons Team

Headshot for Megan.

Megan Smith Legett

Director, Content Strategy
Director, Editorial Operations & SEO
Senior Copywriter

Megan joined Cheryl’s team in 2020, bringing with her a B.A. in Theatre and Photography, an MBA in Marketing (from LSU – Geaux Tigers!), and a background in management & operations, business strategy, writing & editing, graphic design, social media marketing… among other things! Megan oversees the day-to-day at 40 Aprons, Easy Healthy Recipes, and Easy Cheap Recipes, plus she’s the Director of Communication & Client Relations and the SEO Specialist for 40A. Virtual Assistants. If Megan’s not working, she’s probably in Disney World or New Orleans, doing some sort of craft, or hanging out with her dog (and husband).

Jessica Jarratt

Lead, 40 Aprons Test Kitchen
Copywriter

Former-high-school-English-teacher Jessica leapt into the food blog world head-first when she became a 40 Aprons team member, but she’s always been passionate about cooking – and especially baking. To Jessica, cooking is about more than just “making something to eat”. She sees it as a form of storytelling and memory making. Being a Mississippi State University alumna who was born and raised in Georgia, her southern roots influence much of what goes into (and comes out of!) her own kitchen. In her free time, you’ll find her baking up a storm in the kitchen, reading, writing, or hunting for treasures in antique stores with her husband.

Headshot for Sam Russo.

Samantha Russo

Senior Manager, Social Media Development
Social Media Content Creator

As a professional food photographer, recipe developer, and content creator, Sam genuinely loves every second of what she does. She has more than 5 years experience in the food marketing and blogging industry, and she’s always loved to experiment in the kitchen. When Sam’s not cooking, creating, or photographing recipes, she’s either booking her next trip or trying new restaurants with her husband and baby. After all, there’s only so much cooking a girl can do!
