Hibiscus Tea (Agua de Jamaica) - Tart, a bit fruity, so refreshing, and packed full of antioxidants (more than pomegranate juice!) and electrolytes.. pretty amazing, right?!

Hibiscus Tea (Agua de Jamaica)

Recipe Makes (Approximate): 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup of dried Jamaica Flowers
  • 3 cups of water
  • 4 cups of water to make 2 quarts of the final drink
  • ¼ - ½ cup agave nectar
  • 2 whole juice of two limes

Instructions

  • Place the dried flowers in a small pot with the 3 cups of water and bring to a boil. Boil for about 20-30 minutes over medium-low heat.
  • Cover and let steep for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Strain the flower and water tea. Stir in the remaining 4 cups water, 1/4 cup agave nectar, and lime juice.

Recipe Notes

Add more agave nectar, to taste, if desired.
