Warm Italian Meatball Soup with Homemade Meatballs

Grease baking sheet with butter or spray oil. Turn broiler to high. In a bowl, mix the ground beef, Italian sausage, garlic, egg, parmesan, breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until combined.

With teaspoon, scoop out 2 tablespoons of the meatball mixture and form into round balls. Place each ball on the baking sheet and repeat with the remaining meatball mixture. Broil the meatballs in the oven for 6-7 minutes.

In a pot, heat oil and add carrots, garlic, celery, and onions. Cook for 4-5 minutes.

Next, pour in beef broth, tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. Stir well and simmer 5 to 6 minutes.

Add the dry pasta and broiled meatballs to the soup. Cook until the pasta is tender and meatballs are cooked. Serve in bowls with fresh parsley and parmesan cheese.

Enjoy on chilly nights whenever you are craving tender meatballs with Italian flavors!
