Air fryer hard boiled eggs on a white plate

Air Fryer Hard Boiled Eggs

Making hard-boiled eggs in an air fryer couldn't be easier! There's no water to boil, no under- or overcooked eggs, and it's totally hands-off.
Prep: 5 minutes
Cook: 15 minutes
Total: 20 minutes
Yield:6 servings

Equipment

  • air fryer
  • Tongs
  • Large bowl filled with cold water and ice

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 300° Fahrenheit.
  • Once air fryer comes to temperature, place raw eggs in air fryer basket. Place basket in air fryer and set cook time based on desired doneness: 9 minutes for soft-boiled eggs, 11 minutes for medium-boiled eggs, or 13 minutes for hard-boiled eggs.
  • Once cook time is up, immediately (and carefully) remove eggs from air fryer and transfer them directly to ice bath. Leave eggs in bath until cool to touch, then peel (see Notes) and eat or refrigerate for later.

Notes

  • Cook Time: Time may vary based on the make and model of your air fryer. Test one egg prior to cooking whole patch to ensure desired texture of yolk.
  • Trick for Peeling: Place egg in a glass that's roughly half filled with water. Place hand (or a lid or cover of some sort) over top of glass and shake glass violently until egg shell begins to crack. Alternately, roll hard-boil egg back and forth on countertop, pressing down with palm of hand while rolling to apply gentle pressure.
