Taco Dip

An easy and delicious creamy taco dip that's the perfect appetizer for tailgating.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounce package cream cheese softened
  • 1 16 ounce container sour cream
  • 1 1.25- ounce package taco seasoning mix
  • 2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce about 1/4 head iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups chopped tomatoes about 2-3 vine tomatoes
  • 1 2.25- ounce can sliced black olives drained

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream and taco seasoning. You can use a hand or stand mixer to make the mixture smoother.
  • Spread this mixture into a 9-inch pie plate or round serving dish. Top the sour cream-cream cheese mixture with shredded lettuce, then sprinkle over cheddar cheese, then tomatoes, then black olives. Serve with tortilla chips.

Notes

To make this ahead, make the first layer (sour cream-cream cheese mixture) and spread in serving dish. Refrigerate up to 2 days until ready to serve. Assemble right before serving.
