Charcoal Lemonade

This charcoal lemonade is a super healthy, detoxing twist on a delicious, refreshing lemonade. You can't taste the activated charcoal at all, just the perfect blend of sweetness and tartness. Loaded with health benefits, naturally paleo and vegan, with keto, low carb, sugar free options.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ cup + 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup see Note for keto/low carb
  • 3 capsules activated charcoal about 1/2 teaspoon
  • 4 cups water

Instructions

  • Whisk together all ingredients in a pitcher. Pour over ice and serve.

Notes

To make keto or low carb, use liquid sweetener to taste. I use about 1 teaspoon liquid monkfruit extract per batch.
Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for about a week. Stir before serving, as the ingredients will separate.
